Parksfit4future SK-AT

The parks are important recreational areas and popular destinations for city residents and visitors from adjacent regions. All parks are uniquely located in the city center and face increasing pressure from climate change. The growing population and expanding built-up areas significantly impact public space function and cultural activities. Parks, especially Schönbrunn and Eisenstadt, are currently under pressure due to high visitor numbers. In contrast, project activities in Stupava Park will contribute to cultural heritage preservation and increased visitor numbers. The main goal of the Parksfit4future project is to utilize the potential of the cross-border SK-AT region for preserving and developing culture and sustainable tourism through knowledge building and suitable infrastructure creation, achieved via pilot and innovative investment activities.
